About

We are the Junior League of Ocala

Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in the Ocala and Marion County communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the communities of the City of Ocala and Marion County.

Strength in Numbers

As one of hundreds of Junior League chapters across the world, we are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI). Established in 1964 as the Children’s Service League and formally admitted with AJLI in 1989, the Junior League of Ocala plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the communities of Ocala and Marion County.

Our Local Impact

Right now, our primary focus of elevating students in under-performing schools requires immediate action, and our multi-faceted approach is making an impact. In five years we plan to assist local elementary schools to meet required state performance standards by providing books to promote literacy, engaging and supporting parents at school events, and providing teachers with necessary supplies for the classroom. We will also advocate for legislation that aligns with our community impact projects through our State Public Affairs Committee. If you’re interested in learning more about our current focus or developing your own civic leadership skills, we welcome you to learn more or connect with us.

Help Us Lead Change

There is always more work to be done, more help needed, and more opportunities to make an impact in Ocala and Marion County. The empowered women of the Junior League of Ocala are working to improve our local communities through leadership and effective action. Will you join them?
