Become a Driving Force of Change Within Your Community

We accept new members in the summer. Please fill out our Membership Application and our Recruitment Team will be in touch.

When new members apply, they are invited to join a year-long class that provides them with the tools and information they’ll need to play a crucial role in the Junior League of Ocala’s current goal of lifting homeless women and their dependent children out of poverty. Membership is open to women of all ages, races, religions, and national origins who share in our commitment to voluntarism and to improving our community.

We’re Empowering the Next Great Civic Leaders…

And we’re already making a powerful impact by leading change within Ocala and Marion County communities! To us, becoming a civic leader is all about understanding that local efforts have a global reach, and it all begins with creating local leadership opportunities that put women’s skills and passion to work right here in Ocala and Marion County. If you’re interested in developing civic leadership skills while collaborating on important efforts with a group of civic-minded women, you’re in the right place!

We believe that all women and children should have equal opportunities, the resources to unlock their potential, and the structures to support them.

The Junior League is a Highly Respected Organization with an Extraordinary Legacy…

And our league, the Junior League of Ocala, is very proud of that historic reputation, but as society changes, we adapt and evolve. We strive to put our venerable values to work in modern ways; demonstrating our pride and perpetuating our legacy by serving as a powerful voice for action, justice, and change throughout Ocala and Marion County.

As an organization, we are committed to developing the potential of women and improving our community through the effective action and leadership of our trained volunteers. By providing a variety of programs and resources designed to prepare women to be effective collaborators, poised negotiators, and strong community leaders, not only is JLO a place where our members will make a lasting community impact, but it is one where members will feel empowered, encouraged, more creative, and connected.
